But instead of providing liquidity, the banks used the money to continue gambling--because the laws haven't been changed to make them stop.<br /><br />Now Europe is going into the toilet and the U.S. will likely follow, especially if we pursue the same austerity programs. The only reason nothing here has been burned down yet is that we've increased food stamps and other aid.
